Sound Bath Safety Info
Before You Book: A Note on Sound Bath Safety
Sound baths use deep vibration and sustained tones to help you relax. They're wonderful for most people, but they're not the right fit for everyone.
Please read through the information below before booking your session.
Please check with your doctor first if you:
Are pregnant, especially in the first trimester
Have epilepsy or a history of seizures
Have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device
Have had recent surgery
Have a serious heart condition
Have severe hearing sensitivity, or a hearing aid affected by vibration/sound
Have a history of psychosis, or severe PTSD with sound-related triggers
Are currently experiencing a major mental health crisis
Get migraines triggered by sound or vibration
If any of these apply to you, please speak to your doctor first and get in touch with me before booking. I'm happy to help you figure out if a sound bath is right for you, or offer an alternative.
These won't stop you from attending but let me know so I can adjust the session
Metal implants or plates
Tinnitus, hyperacusis, or sensitivity to sound
PTSD or a history of trauma
Anxiety disorder
Depression
Recent emotional trauma or grief
Phobias (e.g. water, frogs, animals, fire, enclosed spaces)
Knowing about any of these in advance means I can adjust things like volume, instrument choice or where you sit so that you feel comfortable during the session.
